All of it but the 500 shot was more likely the culprit

The stock ihi blower doesnt remove alot of heat from the air charge. I was in your shoes with stock blower with chiller and always had below 35degree IC temps, even in summer. Now i have the whipple and in 80 degree weather it struggles to get below 45. Gomango and i have gone back and forth over this for months. When looking at data logs drag runs from the 2, even tho the factory blower had the IC temp before the run IATs would start higher and end higher than with the whipple with the warmer IC temp. Id be interested to see your IATs after a full run. I bet its similar. The whipple pulls do much more heat out of the aircharge. Im saying this to simply say having been there done that kinda thing. I dont feel the chiller will keep the aircharge cool enough for you when running a super small pulley. I thought it would too but numbers dont lie.

What are yours? I have logs I can pull up from the track. I’m not talking about a whipple, I’m talking about a stock 2.4. I don’t need a $500+ pump

I’m not pulling spark because of IATs anymore on a 90 degree day with the 2.69. It would pull several degrees at the top end before it

More data is needed. And i wasnt logging IC temps before. But this gives a rough idea. Bare in mind on stock blower, that was 80 degree weather with IC temps reading 30s in the lanes. With the whipple it was also 80 degree weather

Nice, mine with stock blower 2.69 no aux tank and chiller was ending at 96 on a 90 degree day, I believe that was my hot lap as well. The big killer is manifold air temp

Why are your starting LTR numbers so high with the CWA 400 pump? I guess that’s my point, the CWA isn’t needed and can actually cause issues with a chiller, it’s meant more for an ice box in my opinion and even then not needed. Your lower IATs are due to the whipple

My guess i wasbt giving it enough time before next run. Ill get more data and report back.

and here’s the big difference for chiller vs non. No chiller, MAT was 172 - 2+ degrees of spark pulled for the top end of the track. With the chiller, MAT was 144, no spark pulled

If the tuner left the Thermal limits at stock or close to it...it'll start yanking timing and DUMPING boost at around 145 - I found that out during my license passes. It was 95* and starting IAT1 was to the moon. IAT2 (MAT) was creeping over 145 but not every run. When it did I'd see bypass opening and a ton of timing retard. Usually by the 1000ft mark.

But the car was dead ass consistent that way. Like 10.1, 10 000 and 10.05 back to back. Lol

Yes, 145 is the limit and imo should be left there

Yes and no. Theyre not usually hit with a chiller but 145 is overly conservative on Corn for sure. They usually get moved a little bit. I'm not talking to like 210 but enough to create a buffer. They were in my original tunes from 2019 and I had them shifted again this season.

I'm also spinning this thing pretty hard. 2.50 on stock lower. Almost any other blower would be an improvement in both flow and temperature.

Intake manifold temp starts the pass at 113 and ends the pass at 113 with the whipple and chiller.

With stock ihi blower
Starts about the same 110 and ends around 130
