Sunoco 93 and my cat roars with it . Used BP in my last Hellcat when I lived in NJ, haven't seen a BP station near me in PA.

As a kid..(god 18 seems so long ago)...my 71 Demon ran good on it...never forget it was 44.9 a gal. ..regular was 29.9

There was no buttons to push back in the day...and phones...had this wheel with a bunch of holes in it you turned with your finger...you missed alot

I always thought it was 104 but it was the best you could get! Apparently all I could afford was $2 worth for my 440-6 RoadRunner back on that day in 1972.

Could have been 104. I did some digging around and got several numbers. They may have even rated octane differently back then.

I remember them too & use to use them when I worked at a Mobil, Texaco & Shell gas stations when I was a teenager.

I can't find 93 octane for the life of me. Reno/ Sparks Nevada, so I ask the locals. They say because of the elevation, high octane isn't required therefore it isn't a thing out here. 91 is the best I can find. Wonky. 😂

Cam 2 is in my 69 427 Biscayne and it smells just like Sunoco 260 did when running. Costco is in the Cat and it is one of the best bargains ware I livened it is 93 grade also.

Sunoco was not the best for quite some time. They were not top tier for years for some reason? I used it when I had my old muscle cars until the quality dropped. It dropped about the same time they dropped Ultra 94. That was the best. Something happened about two years ago and now Sunoco is top tier again? Very strange. I avoid bargain brands. They are cheaper for a reason. They use the minimum allowable additives. With past pickup trucks I used bargain brands and the injectors would get the ticky sound from getting clogged. I used good gas and it didn’t happen. Strange I think Costco is Top Tier. Not sure on Walmart? I stick with what is local for top tier. Shell, Mobil, Sunoco and now there is a nice new Irving near me which is Canadian owned. Canadian gas for a Canadian built car. I feel bad for you guys that are stuck with 91??? Anyone use Citgo? It’s owned by the commies in Venezuela. I’d walk before I gave one cent to them. I’m surprised they are top tier. They can drink it. And for the American dealers that sell it. Screw you.

Here is the Top Tier list. Some surprises here. Walmart gas doesn’t make the cut. Who knew Chevron, Amoco and Sinclair we’re still in business. All have disappeared from New England. Texaco and Arco are also strangely gone. They used to be everywhere.
