Coil packs upgrade

Anyone try upgrades and what benefit if any?

I don't think there is much performance to be had there, but with that said, I tried the red MSD ones mainly for the cool look, but then realized the writing would be upside down on the 6.2, and they changed the logo to a much smaller size and stopped the white letter contrast, which was the look. I sent it back without install.

I received the Granatelli's for Christmas from the kids they seem fine. a bit smoother on idle. 80.000 volts

Unfortunately I really question whether you get any performance advantage, especially for the price...
I contemplated it for my daughters 6.4 when she was having some issues... easily a couple hundred bucks and with the dual plug design I don't know if it would be any help....

Can't say on the Hellcat, but on the previous gen upgraded coil packs were tested and actually showed a LOSS in power. The red looked cool though.

I've got a set of Sultans of spark but have not installed them yet. Looks like a bitch as far as clearance.

getting more spark at a lower rpm, no need for the higher rpm. 80k x 2 plugs pretty good burn I'd say.

That doesn't make sense. I've installed hot ignitions on a lot of my hot rods and never experienced lower idle.

Does not the ECM command the idle speed?

Well, I since have experienced a 2mpg gain in mileage, Instantaneous starting, and throttle response. and zero problems my kid swears by them and after all, it was a gift. and currently pushing 900rwhp with 965rwtrq on ms109 on HO mode so I'm happy.

I don't doubt that these coil packs work as I will be installing them. I just question the lower idle. Fuel would have to be lowered. The coils add timing.

After talking to the guy at DUI, I bought their coils. I have not installed them yet as it looks like a bitch with my shock tower brace installed.

However I cannot say the same for their throttle body, their electronics are awesome there tb's not so much.
