The 170 that blew up at Bowling Green is planning on being at 131 this weekend for the NMCA race with new engine. Guess I will get to see it

I thought he claimed he'd never run it with a weak stock engine again?

I guess this season he is. I see he thought it was an oil issue why his broke. Losing a little pressure at launch wouldn't blow it up at the end. Mine drops some for a second and quickly recovers

Was the engine in this modified car replaced under warranty?

All he is said it is a replacement. Based on what speedy said thinking Dodge replaced it. When asked how it blew up he said because they are junk

Don't know him and based on what was said when it did blow up he may of had a tune and run on e90. I know he was at St. Louis and Bowling Green so maybe doing all the NMCA races

I'm in Bowling Green right now taking the Holley courses, where is this guy located?

The “junk” engine won it’s class at the Orlando MSHS race. Glad to see they are heading back to the track with it.

This is the guy that was wrapped up in the soldier car debacle for those not aware. He bought the soldiers car (paid more) then had to bring it back and get a different one, all that mess.

Didn't say on his facebook page. Larry Rose is his name. Being he is attending different NMCA races he probably isn't from there
We have a mutual friend and my friend lives in Texas. My friend owns the Snow Demon and now has a 170 also

Any restrictions or advice from Dodge on the replacement engine? Break in, fuel, stock tune, rpm, etc…

I was told a lil while ago just follow the break in and you can run e85 whenever. Don't track until 1500 miles by the former and current Dodge CEO's. A lot of cars have blown before the 1500 mile mark and some I've had to intervene with on warranty denials.

I personally believe in the break-in period on not only engines, but mechanical devices in general (for reasons I learned in M.E. school)

However, it makes me wonder how they go about doing the R&D on engines? It doesn't seem like they would have time to jerk around with such things.

Ron Silva was personally told by Tim; 500 miles was only needed to drag race. This was in conjunction with the Hagerty BS race. Jamie, PM me and I'll give my phone number. I know all the background to that race.

“A lot of cars have blown before the 1500 mile mark” statement is concerning. Have you seen a common problem or failure on all these Demon’s that have blown? Do the CEO’s past and present have an explanation for the warranty denials on these cars?

"A lot" can be misleading, some will consider 5 engines a lot, some will consider 50+ a lot. How many engines are you talking about?

I don't think there is even 5. Plus I know of one that never came apart and was driven home and they are saying that one blew up when it clearly did not.
