What is considered a safe shot for a hellcat at around 16psi?
What about same setup on e85?

Im thinking about adding a 100-150 shot through the blower for those "just in case" times, was just curious what would be considered "safe" ive heard of guys running 200 on stock boost.

Im familiar with boost
Im familiar with nitrous
Im NOT familiar with boost and juice

Not really super safe setup to run both without a stout built engine. But 100 shot should be fine for both pump and e85. Course a 50-75 would be nice as well. The nitrous on these platforms produce incredible torque gains with moderate horsepower gains.

I have seen one and heard of a few others picking up almost twice what the shot was on a dyno.
IE a 100 shot making almost 200 gains.
One thing on the day I saw that it was cold out and the door to the shop was open.
So cold on the way home there was blowing snow. Just mentioning that because maybe the better air may have contributed to what I saw.🤷

The issue I see is, especially on a shot as large as your proposing, is how to reduce timing only when needed. It’s sounding like you want a button you can instantly press and gain 200 hp when you’re looking at someones rear bumper to which you can’t say “hey, let me change to my reduced timing nitrous tune real quick and we’ll continue our race”. I’d like to find that solution as well. A 50-75 jetted shot through the blower you may get away with without a reduction in timing but anything larger is getting real risky. A 200 shot may even require cooler plugs which that added to a tune change doesn’t make for a quick shot use when needed rescue button.

We ran e90 (ignite 114) with nitrous most of the year last year with stock bottom end with stock blower.

NOTE: What I am about to say...nothing is 100% because these are machined parts and not all parts created the same.

Consensus, 50 or 100 shot cools the blower down and mostly safe for stock bottom end.

150 shot, some people say car runs faster on 100 than 150 and I agree with this but increasing your risk of throwing a rod.

200 shot - risking throwing a rod if you and your tuner not logging/paying attention to cylinder pressure

Im perfectly ok with building a nitrous tune and flashing that tune when wanting to spray. I know the nitrous through the blower seems to produce a good bit more than the "shot" a friend was seeing roughly 125 on a 75 shot in his lightning.
I was figuring 100 shot should be safe, and was hoping 150 would be since im on e85 now.

Interesting to hear 100 seems faster than 150, but defiantly good to hear.

I wish we had some sort of timing retard box like the Lingenfelter box for the LS guys, but (I cant believe this is coming from my brain) I believe my setup is enough for the street. I would just want the nitrous to be more competitive in some of the class races local. Its not even fun competing in "daily driver" or "4 door" classes when having to compete with low 9 sec cars (I was 10.3s on 93)

However, while I have a forged 6.4 in the corner of the shop, I have no desire to swap my engine just yet. If I can spray 100 through the blower as needed and it last a while I think Ill be happy.

I have 2 tunes, with and without nitrous. Nitrous for track/racing and then none for driving on the street like daily driving.

But in all honesty, I do not DD my cat that much anymore. Once it is race season, cat goes full racing mode. lol

As far as cats with and without nitrous; it really depends on what you want to do. We have a bunch of cats low 9's with and without NOS. Check out this list below:
