With Black Friday quickly approaching I am looking to pick up the last few parts for my build. One of the last pieces is the fuel system. I will be running E85. With my builds I only like to buy parts once so I am looking for a fuel system that will leave me some room to grow in the future. I'm not a fan of boost-a-pumps so I would like to avoid those if possible. I am looking at Fore Innovations L3 or L4 systems with duel or triple pumps. The question is which system would be the best?

Links
  • L3 - Regulator mounted before rails. (pre-regulated)
  • L4 - Traditional parallel feed, post regulated configuration

Current Parts:
  • Hellraiser 2.72"
  • ATI 10% lower
  • Kooks 2" long tube headers
  • 105mm throttle body
  • Ported snout
  • ID 1300 injectors
  • FI spacers and thermal blanket
  • 180 degree thermostat

Whatever your tuner recommends would be what I'd say.

@Speedy! Thanks for the response I appreciate it. Will a tune really change that much between a duel and triple pump setup?

Do we know what the safe hp limit of a duel pump setup on e85 is?

950-1000rwhp depending on the weather. For good pump e85. The twin drop in kit from injected engineering is all you need.

@FFBOS Aren't you in that 950 - 1000whp range? Based on your sig you have the twin drop in pumps with duel BAPs. When are the BAP's needed and could those be eliminated if you had a triple pump setup?

Yes, tuning is directly related to the fuel system chosen. You wanna make sure to get whatever your tuner is familiar with.

My observation is if you are around the common 900whp range on e85 then you’re probably good with the dual drop in pumps like the IE system with stock fuel rails and 1300 injectors. I had a single BAP on mine and didn’t have any issues. I think the pumps used with these are less susceptible to pump failure due to the BAP than the stock pump is. I have not heard of these pumps failing like the stock ones with the BAP. Lots of those. I think if you are going to go to where you need more injector than the 1300’s..... it’s time to step up to the Fore system. I’m running the triple 525 pump system now with 1700 injectors. Fore says these pumps are good for 1700 hp and not to boost them.

I have Nitrous on the car. Have not made on pass with it yet. The BAPs are there to support the pumps for when I spray it. For now, they are overkill without Nitrous.

I’m running the dual pumps and a 2.65 upper and 10% lower and I’m adding the dual jms bap for added support I had the single on my stock pump and it made all the difference in how my fuel system performed
