This link was flagged by my software as a severe risk to download, not going there just like the Royal Purple you don't want to use.
Just view it, don’t download it. Or view it from a IPhone. I downloaded it on my work computer and it didn’t have an issue with it snd our IT Dept has crap locked down pretty tight, if it had an issue I’d be on the carpet in the bosses office by now lol

my GTO rear diff sounded like a UPS truck in 1st and 2nd when it heated up. Amsoil severe gear is the only thing that would quiet it down. Changed it every 10-15k and sold the car with 96k on it and no issues. Second owner took it to 170k+ before an accident totaled the car. Original rear and no problems.

Time to test the 3.90 and the 2.66 close ratio trans and see if I can get a 10 second 1/4 on the street on 20” Nitto’s. 🤞🙏
It’s cold tonight so not even going to try, I’ll break it in some with 3rd and 4th pulls and see what G force and 60-130 and 60-140 data says.

Too cold for any traction down low so ET sucked but MPH up in the 1/4 by maybe 1.5-2 mph but at 141 mph 6600 rpm was fuel cut. Don’t know if I like it or not compared to the 3.73.
I used 3 instruments this time to catch time and G’s, will have to study the data a bit more FF4672B6-3AC6-4D9C-842D-6A702E045982.jpeg 9FF4CA15-E621-4C76-84A1-A3248F6289DA.jpeg E198A277-C53D-42D7-93C1-EB74CEAD0644.jpeg 5EF95184-7BC8-41B6-967C-F8CDB011874D.jpeg A077A920-C353-40A4-AB51-B6376DC1B724.png 293CCA49-9DAD-42CF-B59A-BC7B63222C0D.png

My new 3.09 started just spinning one tire in the burnout, so Im going to replace the fluid soon.

Im an amsoil dealer, but never try to push it down anyones throat.

The severe gear is available in quart jugs, or the soft package. Amsoil also has their friction modifier I was planning to run when I swap the fluid

(trying to answer things I saw posted by others)

Sometime just not jumping on it in the burnout box can cause that. I had it happen on my 2 run Friday. Jon said it was only spinning one tire, then spun off the line. My other 6 passes were fine

BTW, I have super magnet diff plugs if you need some let me know. They not only catch any metal inside your diff they catch everything on the outside of it that come close to it lol.

I’ll never forget the day my dad told me I was going to put whale sperm in the differential of his 1978 Corvette. The smell of the old diff fluid from all those years ago has also never left my mind.

Do you have any for the M6 trans? I just swapped out the rear to Amsoil, so should be good to go there for a bit, but just got in my order of Amsoil transmission, so would be advantageous putting those in now.

Would like to hear your feedback after using that fluid in the M6!

Im running Mobile 1 Synthetic ATF and might try something new next Spring.

Yes, I think I have a pair for the M6 ready to go. You could put one in the fill of the Diff with it full, one is better then none. And if you ever saw a video of a diff running with a clear cover you would know why one in the fill is very effective, for the same reason on in the fill on the M6 is great as the oil splash off the gears in both go right on the magnets so as particles are made they are caught before they have time to even be in the bottom of the units. I’ll make you a package deal on a full set, 1 engine drain one, 2 for the trans (they are different fill and drain, I use different magnets on each), and 2 for the Diff, $125 shipped for the 5.
