So now that I have a fully working trans I can go into the full story
@Speedy! pull up a chair, it's a long one.
Purchased transmission rebuild from Pure, dropped my trans and had it shipped out. Tforce forgot to pick up the fucking unit, we had to get a new freight shipper, A Dui Pyle picked it up 8/29. Invoice arrived 9/2, trans was shipped back and went in 9/13. Driving home that night it went into limp mode. Eric @ Pure and I came up with a game plan cause nothing could be wrong with the transmission right??? Purchased a new shift, two new PCMs... Tried everything. Took a lot of energy of mine to hunt this down and still not have it driveable. I asked Eric if it was okay if Mike dropped the pan and we inspected it. This is where the fun begins. Mike sends me text messages and I'm driving in the Ram so couldn't read them. He calls me and I pick up and he says to turn around, tells me what's wrong and I start to scream out my fucking lungs... Who wants to guess what's wrong with this picture here?
There's nothing missing here right....

WHERE IS THE FUCKING FILTER. That night I was on a facetime with Eric @ Pure. They were embarassed but stood by their warranty and said drop it and ship it. Was done next day thanks to them and their freight shipping magic. From there they inspected it and Chris the owner called me personally. Said there was nothing wrong with it after tear down. I wasn't going to talk about pump cavitation, clutches burning cause of lack of fluid, etc. However they stood by it, even sent the filter valve body out for repair. This is where things got interesting. Chris asked if I had a spare PCM. I did, I sent it in and in a few days later it was shipped back. To give no wiggle room just in case the next one was bad, purchased a new set of lines and a cooler. I made the following mistake. Ordered the wrong cooler, it wasn't the Hellcat one. Sent it back but dodge said 12/12 for shipping. Cancelled that and went on Ebay and got a new one from a dealership in GA, ordered tuesday of this week. Arrived yesterday. One of the things we learned was that an already written to TCM could not be reflashed to another calibration. That was on me. Throwing my Amex at the fucking shitter I ordered a brand new blank tcm and valvebody. The old one is being sent out to be blanked and flashed. WiTech can't do it apparently from the factory, we discovered this a week prior to today when we just bridged the new lines and tested it. Gears were butter but the TCM is figuring it out.
Last night it all came together, we got the car done but I was in my truck and couldn't drive it home. Now I have an absolute beast sitting at home now, doesn't even bat an eyelash doing 65 on the highway. I'm out some money from parts but now I have spares. Some of them will become unobtanium soon.
I WILL SAY THIS...
Pure stood by their product, doing the best we could with Mike's schedule we got it in. He's also in a shit spot cause he's opening his own shop and everyone and their fucking mother in MD booked him prior to the MSHS so shop time was limited. To this day I shoot the shit with memes with Eric, Mike and Chris in a group chat. Mike is working with them to become an authorized installer and get the word out about them in the Hemi world. I took a chance, and it worked out. Most important part is they stood behind their product. They also got to the root of the no filter issue and I can for sure say the builder won't make that mistake again.
It was a roller coaster for sure but the car is driving. Now I just need to get these pesky O2 sensor CEL's gone and get it to inspection and just drive it for 460 more break-in miles.
