On Motortrend it states three sizes will be available. I spoke to them at AFR. They said the big boy heads are being redone and will be out in six weeks. Which size heads are these? Motortrend states three sizes will be available. I was confused when they were stating things over the phone. I wonder how they will perform compared to the largest Thitek head.

Think there was a thread about them or we talked about them in a different thread. The middle ones sounded good to me

Missed this news.

About damn time.
I remember seeing Frankenstein Heads toying with doing Gen 3 Hemi heads but not sure if anything ever came of it.

I delved into it a bit. The AFRs intake valve is slightly smaller than Thiteks. But AFR claims their head outflows the Thitek. AFR claims they can get you their heads within four weeks. The owner of thitek states he is a few weeks behind. Who knows. Reliability is always the clincher if they are that closely matched to each other.

I talk with craig all the time he hooks me up. I have bigger titanium valves in mine. Got Jon a price today he was shocked to say the least.

I got tired of waiting from both companies. I went with Frankenstein stage 2 heads. They have larger intake valves and have great CNC programs for their heads. They go on in about two weeks.

Did you send your heads for porting or just use yours as cores? How much?

Is this just the port/valve service or what?

Actually very expensive. To get the heads fully assembled it is 3700 or so. Then you need to send in cores. I went through a retailer who Frankenstein recommended. If I did not Frankenstein stated it would be at least a six week wait. So the retailer knew they had me and charged a 400 dollar premium. My cores were damaged and to fix those so Frankenstein could use for someone else cost me 400 in repair costs. Then there is shipping. So no deal at all. 4500 or so. But I have been down too long to remember and I want my car back. Idiot mechanic down here cross threaded a plug which broke off inside the head damaging it.

You are looking just at porting. To use their hardware with all new components and the larger intake valves is expensive. Their flow rates for stage 2 are great up to .6 of lift. Other companies brag about super high flow rates at a lift of .7 on the valve. That flow and lift does not happen on our hellcats.
