I get notices in the mail often from Dodge and Ram to remind me to sync my phone to both vehicles.
Nope.
The GM of the Ram dealership actually called me and offered to drive to the house and sync the phone for me.
I declined. He went on to explain that the dealership will lose a $500 bonus if my phone isn't synced. Again, I told him no and pushed the phone off.

Happens with every new car that you buy now. They're in the data business, it's an additional income stream.

I got pissed the other day when the dealership signed me up for the Sirius & Guardian trails after I specifically told them I did not want that !!
Not entirely sure how, but when I went to the Dodge Garage thing on-line, the new SRT was there (along with the current odo reading ). I never gave the dealer the email ID I use for the DG website, all comms were with one of my burner ID's I use for stuff like this. No clue how they made the connection as I never entered my street address or phone info in the DG app !!

Looks like you can opt out ofthe tracking tho (or so they claim).

Disable the cell, in the car.

No bubbles. No troubles.

I've had mine neutered, for quite some time.

Unplug the purple connector, behind the radio and replace with a load resistor, in a faraday shield.

Absolutely kills all cell comms.

Never forget the day we picked up my C8...salesman asked me for my phone..(something about pairing the car to my phone)...I handed him my 11 yr. old flip phone with a broken screen...he said what the fuck is this...it's a phone melon head...no its not he said ..sure it is ..call me ..I'll show you...they used my wife's phone...haven't seen the keys to that thing since...she loves it...it' a great car...it's just not me...
