Et street fronts are good, I just wouldn’t run then stock weight. I have a few hundred lbs out of the car and drive to the track on them and have dozens of passes on them. Still like new. You are over the weight limit for them unless your car is gutted. I would like to see someone weigh all 4 corners of the car to confirm this though

37.4 lbs with wheel, max load rating is 1140 lbs at 50 psi. These were made in 2022

The crate front runners did not have tires. The crate only came with the wheels.

I have front sway bar and end links out, passenger seat out, rear seat delete, and Kirkey aluminum drivers seat. Still probably over the 1140 lbs on driver side, most of the weight is in the front of the car. But would like to see someone with scales weigh each side of the car

The lightest:
Hoosier Drag Race Front.
28x4.5-18; PN 18112.
Those are the ones I've been looking at. They say 12lbs per tire. My current M&H front runners are 22 per tire if memory serves, so 10 lbs of rotating weight per side would be quite a bit off the front.

Friend of mine left me this comment on one of my YT Videos for determining weight reduction in relation to rotational mass:

Rotational Inertia .... I = m(r^2). m is the mass of the tire, r is the distance from the spindle axis to the centroid of the mass of the tire cross section..... since all that will be changing between the M&H's and the Hoosier's is the mass of the tire all you have to do is divide the weight of the Hoosier by the weight of the M&H and subtract that result from (1.0) to calculate the % reduction in MOI..... yes I said weight and the formula says mass, but the factor to convert weight to mass divides out just as the radius divides out... so it's a simple (1.0 -(Hoosier wt / M&H weight)) x 100 to find the % reduction in Rotational MOI.

Does m&h give a load rating? They’re bias ply, right?

22 sounds high. Online they are showing 17 plus my wheels also show 17 and just weighed them and they are 34 lbs

They weight 38lbs on the Dark Star 18" wheel knocking that down to 28lbs would be nice.

Re: Rear seat

Why not just remove the rear seat and seat belts? Will you fail inspection of there is no barrier between the trunk and passenger compartment?

I used to do that in my old R/T. It kinda looks like ass and noise is a lot more. The closeout panels are pretty nice.

Thanks.

Are you saying it passed inspection at the track without a barrier?

And for track day, do you really care what it looks and sounds like?

I hope to do a track rental this week (Wed or Fri) and hopefully make a new personal best, last try for me this season. Did 10.286 last spring with 275's on the front, I have skinnies now.

Forecast is mid 60's and about 55% RH.
