LOL, it does kinda seem he's the "master of bad plans and ideas", and/or wants to kill Dodge, JUST when it was starting to take over a good segment of the auto market here in the US. Now that there is gonna be a shift in the political winds, it seems a ripe time to gear up for more epic muscle in the US. But of course with Carlos at the helm, they will fumble, or not show up for the game. Sad....

Sadly, it is probably too late for Dodge/Chrysler regardless of what happens on the CAFE/EPA front. Even pre-covid, when prices were normal, Power Dollars were flowing, and they would make as many Hellcats and higher that they could sell, production was what 9-10K a year, Charger/Challenger combined? That won’t sustain a brand, they need mass market vehicles too. Heck, half of Chargers and Challengers were sold with V-6s. They finally entered the most popular market segment, CUVs, 5 years too late. “Hey, Toyota sells 400K Rav4s a year, maybe we should make a CUV”. Then they come out with the vastly overpriced Hornet.

Challenger Hellcat production alone was ~15,000 in during higher production years, but I think your point remains valid.
