Does anyone have a solution or has this been addressed before? I just installed the K&N CAI and it doesn’t use the sensor that plugs into the stock air box.

There should be a place for you to plug in your original sensor

If there isn't a place for the sensor (and there should be), make one.

No offense and it's your truck to do what you want with it, but the stock air intake on the TRX is a very well designed unit. Specially routed to not pull in dirt etc

And yeah, how is there not a spot to plug in the air intake temperature sensor???

I didn't realize how well the OE intake works until changing the filters on my girlfriend's TRX the other day.

Felt a little bad having gone past 22,000 miles when the book says to change them at 20K, but was pleasantly surprised to find the "dirty" side being darn near as bright white as the intake side. Almost put the old ones back in.

Also, I don't see how a "cold air intake" could provide air that's any cooler than what the factory setup delivers. Besides, the claimed extra 21 hp and 41 ft-lbs. seem unrealistic. Any gains would likely be at the expense of efficient filtration.

Ha! At least a couple of times per month I comment on how "the car she didn't need" gets used so much.

It took me a couple of weeks to talk her into ordering that one, but I'm glad I persisted. And more importantly, so is she.
