It might depend on what brace ?... but my Speedlogix 4 point strut tower brace fits with FI spacers still with 1/2" gap.

Better picture of that gap please?

Not much wiggle room at all. Initially I might have gone with the SL brace, but Ive heard more bad stories than good about their CS, and they didn’t even offer it, or the rear, in B5.

Thanks man I appreciate that! I'm not anywhere near my car but I have the Petty brace and the FI spacers sitting at home....hmmm...might have to to rethink all this now. That looks like it might not fit. I guess I'll have to wait and find out.

Love the Petty brace but there is no way the FI kit is going to fit. Im having my doubts about the other kit above as well. My bar almost touches the sc dome in the rear as well as that oem bar.

I agree...from the 1st pic it looks like there's a chance but that dome pic looks like it won't. AGGGHHHH back to the drawing board.

Rather than trying to prevent it I guess we are better combating it with an interchiller device?

Here is the response I received regarding possible clearance issues and the Thermalator gaskets:

"Our spacer is only 1/8" which I'm not sure what the mm conversion is but 10mm is .39 which is much larger than our spacer so should be fine as far as clearance is concerned."

Hope this helps clear things up, for those considering this product, as an alternative.

I do not represent, or work for the Thermalator brand. A client pointed it out, as an option for his 6.1 NA build... so I looked them up. Very responsive to questions and helpful.

You could put a washer/spacer under each side of the three studs for the brace to raise it up but then you lose threads on already minimal threads on the nut as it is.

Alain, those bolts are factory. The sc has not been off the car. The rail covers I got from one of our members here. Thanks for the kind words.
Those bolts came stock on your car? My OEM bolts were different mine is a 2016. Interesting.
