V86 Emissions Recall

Either something changed with TB control at shut off or the bypass is closing after TB at shut off is my hypothesis.

New cats and O2 sensors I'm all in. PCM flash ain't happenin' cap'n.

I've been getting a random code for O2 sensor slow to respond P0133 and P0153. I thought it was related to the flex fuel testing I've been doing but got it on my race tune this weekend. May be related to this recall.

I don't have a video and Fumans earlier videos seemed to make the same sound. But when they had air box off .My butterfly valve fluttered at shut off. I think Speedy! is on the right track I think somehow the flash is Fing up the bypass. I have a Question. I never pull up the boost gauge. My tech asked me if the performance was down. Seat of the pants it feels the same. I'm getting on a 3rd gear pull to factory red line only 10psi of boost. Is that normal? Or should it be higher? Nothing has been done to my engine all stock except catch can

If they flash your pcm video that please. But I wouldn't let them next to my Cat now. With a scanner with what I know now

The time of year and da can affect that.
Normal summer my car sees 10psi. In the fall 12 is not uncommon. Yesterday I didn't check but I would not be surprised if it was 9psi.

What did you see before the recall?

I never looked at the butterfly before the recall. I never heard any strange noise at shut down before except the lack of the noise of 707hp makes. No clicks or clunks.

From the sounds of it, we all may be better off telling the service advisor that “yes, the car is tuned”....get the new cats, no reflash.

I'll see if I can get with my contacts tomorrow for any added info. For now I'd skip the flash and just get the parts. Its ENTIRELY possible one has nothing to do with the other.

All right heading to dealership today. Going in armed with this thread and the reports. Going to show them the videos of my car making odd sounds and demo it for them. If they decide not to do anything what are my recourse actions you think?

Can it be flashed with the old code ?

I don't know, I'm going to talk to the service representative. Figure out what is happening. If they can flash to the old software and if it doesn't make that sound then we know that the PCM flash is bad. That's even if they will allow me to reflash to the prior version. Who knows.
