You're probably right, but maybe not impossible given the new administration.

So true. Don does not believe the climate scam. Neither do the other crowd for that matter. They just used it to grab tons of money. The problem is once these company retool to make golf carts, it is nearly impossible to go back to the good stuff. A completely different car.

Maybe this will be a good thing and we will see the next gen hellcat. Wish Dodge listened to the forums and made a new and improved hellcat not another hornet.

Very cool to see the entire process, we don't do our own stamping here. All the stamped pieces come in and we take over from there to complete the entire vehicle. I have been through the Warren stamping plant a few times though and I did work in stamping in our Power train/machining plant doing torque converters and the like for a few years.

I like that they started the video of with a D170 rolling off the line with regular wheels on it.

I am not an insider like Bobo, but I think once a line is shut down, it is over. Much of the tools are scrapped and the lines are swapped to the new model. Changing a line is forward thinking, the corp needs to have solid evidence of a huge market before committing. (Of course normal historical business practices based on logic and success do not apply to snowflake darlings like the Amazing Hornet!!!!)

Love those cars but their time has now passed. I'm ready for the next generation and it's not the ev models. An updated Hemi would work for me.
Time has stood still for mine...I don't need...or want anything new

I watched about five minutes of that video. When I worked at Chrysler/Warren Stamping 1976-1980, I remember hand loading and unloading C-body quarter panels from the First-Draw [8-10ft blanks]. The whole place shook, and it was dirty and dangerous. Each press on the line added character-lines, and trimmed excess. No wonder people are so relatively poor these days. I don't see as many people in the first five minutes, as we had on one press-line. The cost of cars sure didn't get cheaper...without all those eliminated jobs.
