Your friend in the last article says the Hellcat engine fits then gives the dimensions for a non-Hellcat engine.
That was your article, I just read it real quick. My mistake, as I assumed they had actually listed the Hemi dimensions, since that was what the article was about.
Either way I stand by it will fit, if we can stuff that 392 in a Wrangler the Hemi will fit in the bigger Charger for sure! They just don't want to admit it so people still buy the 6 pack before it's ready.

To me, the question is whether they can make it fit without significant alterations, because of course with enough alterations they can make anything work. The question is whether the necessary alterations make the car prohibitively expensive and another question is whether they have a drivetrain for this car that would be strong enough.

I like the pivot in direction - less EV and more ICE, but the real question (basically what everyone is saying) is; where is the Hemi or even hemi-like power? Going back to ICE is good, but you have to have cars to put it in, that people actually want to buy.
The EV Charger will only go so far and the Hornet is DOA... did they actually make the Hornet? I think I've seen maybe a handfull and I mean one hand not two ! Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram need more platforms ! You can argue Jeep and Ram, they still have room to grow, but Chrysler and Dodge have one foot in the grave unless more platforms are in the pipeline....

I would absolutely buy a new body style Charger with a ICE Hemi/Scat/Hellcat motor. Even better if it appears in a "Cuda" platform with some MUCH needed weight loss (the car, NOT me! :ROFLMAO:).

If they have the width they can make it fit, even of they need a bulging hood, which many people will like!

Especially with female buyers...never met a woman yet that didn't appreciate a "NICE "bulge :p:p:p;)

I'm 99% certain I read that the Gen 3 Hemi did not fit in the new Charger platform.
They said that about the Wrangler too

Until Ford was ready to drop the Bronco Raptor with 400+ hp and all of a sudden the 392 fit in the Wrangler.

A 392 or even a Hellcat in the new Charger body would be killer if they can make it work.

I'm under the impression that wimmin with a certain amount of width aren't particularly picky.

Thats a good point - if the intent was to push buyers to the "awesome" I6 then I would not be surprised by the statement... at the time the statement was made were the handlers in Europe running the show? I definitely get the impression that they were not fans of the Hemi - was it the performance, emissions, fuel economy, or the desire not to "step back" and admit EV's aren't the future?

I've got mixed feelings on the new Charger's design, maybe it will be different if I see it in person.

It just seems a little plain to me, a little "underdone".
In person they are good looking, could be really sweet altered/modded a little

Now would be the time for the comeback of the century. 2026 hemicuda.
I certainly would love to see a Hemicuda!! And if it was Furious Fuchsia I'd be 1st in line!

I was at the dealer other day, no not for car shopping. I saw a new billet Silver Charger, and after looking at for several minutes I still conclude the nose would be radically different if Ice was dropped under hood, the whole Frunk theme would go away. Radically altering its current look out of necessity for radiator & plumbing with fans. I would think the Hemi can fit length wise easer than the I6. 4 slugs per bank on Hemi vs 6 slugs inline Hurricane with cooling system. The nose needs to change for Hurricane I6. At least from the very front of fender forward, the front fascia and sloping hood most definitely would need altering. Guess we are going to find out at some point.
