I’d never thought I’d say it but I see waaaaaay more c8s than any model/year challenger now. And that’s a big statement. They’re quiet. And slow. Meh. Poor man’s rari imo

Where? Where I’m at you can trip over Challengers. Mostly V6, R/T and 392’s. Very few Hellcats and even fewer Redeyes. Funny thing at the gas station I always get asked, is that a Redeye? I say yes and they ask what do you do for a living? I always tell them I’m retired. The look on their face is priceless.

This is what Dodge should have done. Hybrid with a 6.2L V8 and electric motors driving the front wheels. 600ish AWD horse power and the current V8 RWD does 0-60 under 3 sec. This thing will fly.

I have one with several motors. It has one for starting, one for the wipers, a couple for the windows, seats, plus probably one or two more. And it looks great.
New ownership moving away from what made the modern Dodge noteworthy kind of dictated against that. I'm not sure Speed would have fit in with that program very well - may not have been happy (though I can't see really much that the donut dude is doing). Hawking the banshee and the hornet?
I wanted a Hellcat with twin motor hubs up front and no battery, drive them from a second alternator or whatever set up worked best. I'd have gladly taken the additional weight penalty (like it matters in the HC) for the AWD launch capability.... Car would have been stunning.
