Imports that were hot 20-25 years ago are starting to take off if you have the right one and its not destroyed.

But again, why? These people had fun in these cars. Raced them, went on dates in them, cruised with buddies in them etc. They didn't buy them and stuff them into a garage hoping in 20 years it will make them a cool million dollars.

Emotions are a big part of it. At least for cars like this.

You'd be surprised how much hate I've gotten from older guys towards the Charger.

The old "you bought it and I built mine" line has become comical. So many times their car is a beater running on 6-7 cylinders it seems. I used to tell them to fuck off now I just smile.

I remember another guy, in a Mopar, on Power Tour tell me that "he was so excited to see another hellcat, not". That 1 took me by surprise considering he was driving a late model Challenger Scat Pack.

Prices are definitely dropping here too
But not as much as in the US of A
The prices never shot thru the roof over here like they did in the US

Like everything on the planet
Its all about supply & demand
You dump 3300 2023 Demon 170 s into the pool of course the 2018 prices will drop
Also the rate the 170 is now hitting the dealers has assholes scrambling to sell ASAP
Due to the sudden influx people are sitting back waiting for prices to drop
Not to mention the cost of borrowing has skyrocketed so people are selling 2018 to buy 2023
Nothing new here

At the end of the day
I would never buy a car for an investment & if the prices vary over the years
Who cares

The point of it being Canadian is that 99% of the market doesn’t want a Canadian car. Too much of a PITA and RISK importing, and the fees on a $100k car aren’t unsubstantial.

FYI- just got a texted from Dodge, my demon has a delivery date of 2/7/2024. So much for whatever doesn't get done by the end of December is not getting built.

From my understanding as long as they're "built" by 12/31/23 they're good to go. Shipping can happen in 2024 if need be.

Couldn’t tell you about differences, can’t think if anything that would differentiate them.
I’m sure they said all if that, not worth the risk.

Built on the same line. I have found some Canadian built Ram 1500s for sale when my dad was looking last year for a newer truck. Someone is bringing them in.

Not like the OG's still have factory warranty remaining. Maybe a Mopar care plan but was extra

Reading this, looks like you need to pay the gas guzzler tax and a 2.5% duty. I'd budget/guess 10k or less to bring that Demon stateside.
