I have used that locator from my PC.
Shows mostly electric charging stations, bio-diesel, propane, etc. Not very useful for ethanol. And seems really out of date. The 3 places I know of don't even show up.

While I am going to make this change, the entire thing seems like a total cluster fuck. Its hard to find, and when you do find it, you can't rely on the quality. A lot like cocaine in the 1980's.

I have looked into fuel storage cabinets. The ones setup to store 2 55 gal drums of a flammable liquid safely, with ground straps, venting and temp triggered airlocks. Around $1500 for a good one. I have a detatched garage/shop with a lift in it, so plenty of room for a cabinet, vented to the outside.
Torco is in AJ, (very close to me) and they will deliver and pick up empties. 2 drums would fill the car 6 times. The amount I drive, this would easily last several months. While I'm not thrilled about going to drum fuel, it's not something I haven't done in the past. Would solve both where to get it AND quality. Hell, I could go T98.
Going with drums seems like a great solution. Since you’ve got the space, it’s much more convenient and it voids the concern of hunting it down and having to test all the time. Of course, the downside is cost but some things are worth paying for peace of mind. Go for it!

Going with drums seems like a great solution. Since you’ve got the space, it’s much more convenient and it voids the concern of hunting it down and having to test all the time. Of course, the downside is cost but some things are worth paying for peace of mind. Go for it!
How long will the fuel in the drums last once opened?

The caveat is the conditions in which it’s stored, as with any fuel. Stable temp and low humidity.

That rules out Long Island for long term storage. Humidity? It's like living in a swamp. LOL

I was under the impression that E85 has a lower shelf life then gasoline once opened. I learn something new everyday lol .

I'm sure it would be reliable for months even in a standard drum that isn't air tight. You can always test it on your own to make sure it hasn't "absorbed" a ton of water. I don't think it would happen though.

There is something in the works for a true flex fuel sensor to use on hellcats. We shall see.
This has been rumored since the beginning of the year! Any new info you can share? I am guessing this is the tune that will use the bypass valve to bleed off boost?

I've read that E is harder to start in the winter/colder climates. Some are installing engine block heaters to help alleviate this issue.
Cut it with 93. Problem solved.

We already have true flex fuel. We just lack a direct pre-combustion alcohol content sensor like GM uses.

Both ford and dodge do flex from the factory like we have to (by using the widebands). There is no harm in doing it this way. All a direct sensor would do is alleviate the "lag" as a result of needing to burn the fuel first to determine it's content. Easy solution? Drive 10-15 miles before you beat on it. Problem solved.

What you are referring to is a variable boost tune and THAT is tricky to get to work...but when it does it does work pretty nice.

It’s worth it for sure. I drive all over the place in my hellcat e85 only.

You can just have your tune be very conservative, I run like an E60 tunefor Street which gives room for crappy fuel.

I also have a e85 content gauge that gives me live time percentage content. If I ever see my percentage in the 6x percent at all, I don’t isually lean on the car that hard. I also keep cans of VP C85 in my garage so I can mix it if I get shitty fuel.

I have a fore system, it’s on the return after the regulator.

It’s an innovate gauge

I had no idea it was that much. The middle of your range would put me around 875 at the tire. Way plenty.
I did get the 3.17" Litens upper for a touch more boost. Should be in the 16-17 pound range at my altitude (~1100 ft), even with the headers, ported heads and cam.

I am regularly checking the station closest to my home (~ 1.5 miles away) with the E85 pumps, and they seem to get frequent deliveries and are rarely out. They post daily on availability, so there no guessing, and there's a facebook page (I am not a member) that I can check where people post their current test results. There are usually several posts a day indicating the test results at these pumps, and its always in the 80-90% range. They got a bad batch a few weeks ago, and within 12 hours it had been pumped out and replaced.

I have done some research on mileage, and near as I can tell, on the highway with the cruise set around 75 MPH its in the 14 mile/gallon range.

This is mostly accurate. I'm right at 15mpg highway at 80% or so...and in the city it's just brutal...maybe 9? I'm usually sideways so that could be it too.
