My Hellcat is with Hagerty on an agreed value policy and has been since new. I insured it for what I bought it for, I probably need to bump that up a bit.
Do you have the track coverage. They wanted $4400 for that with me.

No, covered in the pits but not once the tires cross the burn box until I pull off the track.

May I ask what your premium is? I'm tired of not driving mine on the street sometimes.

The $4,400 was annual track coverage? If so, I thought you just ensure by track event. You could always ask them if there are any Mopar/Drag race clubs you can join for a nominal club fee and get a rider off their main policy.

I did it online and was in shock. I just have track coverage now and it sits all of the time. Not much fun.

You should really talk to a Regional rep in your area. Hagerty (don’t personally have) does give club discounts; and will try to work with you more when you’re part of a bigger club. They’ve invested a ton into Marketing and Development these days. They work with large National / Regional clubs to get them better rates, which gives them better outreach. Definitely worth investigating…they’re not going to make it easy like going through a website quote. Honestly see if you can find any National/Regional clubs that have a club insurance policy to ride off of. I see it first hand through my club experience. Not guaranteeing anything , but probably worth some investigating.

Farmers more than doubled our premium this past year. We changed.
Heck they refused coverage on our house because we live within 5 miles of the ocean.
Can you blame them?

Lots of extra chances for door dings, and only eight inches above sea level.

Actually 34' above.

The sad part is that the people who they moved down here to broker their insurance are now going broke because they lost all of their business from what I heard.

Do your cars still run okay up there, or have you never been to that mountain?

So I was at my local dealer this morning who is a Power Broker dealer, asked them about this last hurrah Hellcat that is supposed to be the last car revealed as we all know...they don't know any more than we really do right now, but they did say they figured they would get 1 or 2 of these. Told me I could have one, and if they only got one that I would be the guy. At this point I told them I was interested and to let me know when they know. I guess I can always turn it down later or flip it later, seems foolish to pass with the expected crazy-limited availability of this car. This is the same dealer that offered me a chance to get a Demon(they had 5 allocations) at MSRP how ever I wanted back in 2017, still kind of regret that. But that morning(back in '17) I was repairing my garage wall as my wife literally drove into it a couple days before and I was not feeling like a buyer of $90k cars...seems so cheap now though LOL

If your dealer isn't full of shyt, and you can swing it, might be worthwhile to attempt it!

Jump all over that car.
Unless the country is in a free fall of a recession, you will be able to turn that for a quick 20k easily. Or dump the RE now at its inflated rate and keep the new one.

I think the ceiling on the car is 3,000 units but who knows. If they want it super limited, then 1000-1500. They already said they are not going to make people happy. So its ultimately what Tim K wants to do. I'm thinking he wants a rarer car than the Demon. So yeah, get in line with that MSRP deal.

My local dealer only has me on the list and is MSRP, but they only got 1 Demon and haven't sold many Hellcat s since

And I suspect you could find a buyer right here.

Most dealers today are not that concerned with what may (or may not) be coming down the pike...hell there lucky to give their staff the basic info just to sell what they have on the lot...the more info released on this offering...the harder it's gonna be to get an msrp deal...DONT WAIT...get them to take your money and document the terms and conditions...NOW:sneaky::sneaky::sneaky:

Yeah I totally hear you, kind of sums up my thinking if I really can get my name on one. I will keep in touch with my friends at the dealer and shortly after the car is announced in a few weeks check back in and see if I can put down a deposit. Realistically I can't really afford a 100-120k car, but I mean I can finance one no problem ;)
