So on the 3.09 you shift to 6th on a 305/45 R17 tire? Seems that wouldn't be ideal? On my 2.62 car I cross about 5500RPM in 5th.
With my 3.09 & 315's it holds 5th gear through the 1/4, shifts to 6th right past the 1/4.
with a 3.09 & 305's it will shift to 6th gear right b4 the 1/4 stripe.

So I finally got caught up on your thread . Its nice to see you are chipping away at your times/ speeds . Keep up the good works it's definitely working .
I wouldn't run 3.09's with a 28 inch tall tire ( I tried it already ) the 2.62 works best with that size tire . Remember I was getting consistent 1.35 sixty foots with a 2.62 and the 305 street R's when the prep was good . Also I wouldn't rev a factory engine past 6500 rpms . That my opinion.
Also why did you go with solid engine mounts?

Hpindy, so I shouldn't try the 305's with my 3.09, I been thinking about trying it.
Thought it would pick up in the 60' ?
My 315's do work good with the 3.09 though.

@Speedy! thank you! 3.09 gears do that, feel like cheating, lol... I'm having problems with the trans though. It is banging off rev limiters in random spots. Can't tell if wheel slip or I'm not giving it enough line pressure. All logs attached. I was looking at the tune that was written and it seemed like it was corrupted. So then I re-wrote it to where it was on the MHSH event and it was still banging. Considering it is great air, she's eating maybe I need to command the shifts earler. Test N' Tune, Test N' Tune!
Congrats on your PB's that's awesome. At one point you were shifting too high, did you lower it & where is your shifts at now ?

I tried the 305's when I had the 3.09's in my car and it was even more difficult to get traction off the line . It was a struggle . Also with stock shift points you will be shifting in to 6th before the end of the 1/4 .
I have 315's now and I'm going to try the 3.09's again . I suspect the 3.09's will work well with the 315's due to the increased diameter of the tire .

315’s worked great with my 309’s tire pressure anywhere from 19-24 psi

I think you have more HP than me but that's what I was afraid of, not being as consistent or traction issues with the 305 with my 3.09. Always looking for a little more lol. I guess I will stick with what I know works.
My shift points are not stock, I'm shifting right at 6500 rpm.

I have brand new 305's 4 sale now LOL.

I had the 3.09/305 problem when my car was just a demon supercharger before I really drove into it . I'm sure it would be exaggerated a lot if I did. It now .
The 305's are a fantastic tire on a 2.62 car .

A couple of buddies stock boost HC's run 3.09 with 305's & do real good.
I'm 2.85 pulley with 3.09 so a little different, got the idea from them to try the 305 but maybe not a good idea.

I'm only going by my own experiences. I can only give my opinion for what I have tested . Also I'm find there is a variance from car to car .( moparjim is a great example of this )

Congrats on your PB's that's awesome. At one point you were shifting too high, did you lower it & where is your shifts at now ?
So some historical background, these were the shifts provided by a tuner that had me banging off the rev limiters hard in 1st, 2nd, etc...
1636393599920.png

These values as reported in a post that @Speedy! commented on showed that the TB was closing because I was hitting the rev limiter, hard. These are my current values:

1636393709131.png

I don't have any test n' tunes coming up and I have the MHSH coming up soon. I did notice that the Tune that I flashed was sort of corrupted. It had values in them that I did not put in there. Don't know if it happened in the copy from my desktop to my car's laptop but from now on I've set the master to be the laptop and will only write tunes on that. While at the track I put the values above in the transTCM and went to get more data.

TCM RPM Limit: 7560
Max Torque Limit, Slip: 800ft-lbs

Oncomming clutch pressures:
1636394647304.png
If we are going to put this in context, please use run 6 for any exploration. That is the only run I can guarantee the values in the spreadsheet were actually in use.

Making an executive decision to revert my TCM tune to my stock Hellcat TCM. There are a lot of irregularities in the tune and I don't think for the health of my HP90 it would be prudent to keep running it. I will revert tomorrow and just drive around on the street to get a feel for stock. I plan to do a deep dive into shift pressures and upshift scheduling but for now I will just raise the shift points to something safe and see how must past this value they push through. If that push through is consisent based on the line pressure I will then make small incremental changes to get them to shift appropriately. Very disappointed that I paid for this and almost sent my trans to Direct Connection Heaven...

Stock boost with 2.62 and a 305 does well too 😂

On mine I didn't mess with the clutch pressures. There's a different table for shift pressure.

Went with solid mounts as I had two sets of dodge urethane/hydraulic mounts leak. Hot shafted by dealership twice on it too! Working on the rev past 6500 part. Wasnt my doing, reverted TCM tune to stock and seeing where it shifts at playing with data to try and get it as close to possible to 6500 safe

Congrats on your PB's that's awesome. At one point you were shifting too high, did you lower it & where is your shifts at now ?
Shifting at 6850 again, car was hauling ass and did 9s. I reverted to stock tune. Right now my shifts are at 5663, 5878, 6001, 6050, 6100. Conservative but I’m testing so they will go higher as I figure out what it likes.

Axles finally went. Was getting major vibrations on the highway last night. During lunch got it up on the quickjacks and inspected. Good thing I have @16GoManGoHC2 redeye/demon axles. Trying to get lift time for tonight.

also got the first ride in a newly refreshed scatpack that’ll blow the doors off almost every car on this forum. His low boost setting is 25psi… 🥲 hes about to make a lot of hemis cry this weekend at the mhsh @ cecil
