I have a 2020 daytona hellcat car has 137xx miles on it and today after starting it i get a “service transmission” message on the dash, run a scanner and it’s stating “unable to engage park” car goes into park, shifts into every other gear fine and drives fine with no issues but code will not go away i’ve disconnected the battery for an hour and my scanner will not clear the code after multiple attempts not sure what the issue could be has anyone else ran into anything similar?

I asked my good friend Jon Sipple of Sipple Perfomance https://sipplespeed.com/
about the code and what he thought it could be.

He said that code indicates the park* "pawl" is not fully engaged ( a metal pin in a vehicle's automatic transmission that locks the transmission into place when the shifter is put in park. When the shifter is moved out of park, the pawl disengages. ) <--*Googled that answer.

He said you can try to take the manual release..... we know that as the neutral release pull under the little tray on the console, there should be a red ribbon to pull. I never pulled it myself.

He said take the manual release and move it up and down a feww times and see if it is hung up. If the park pawl is off by a few milimeters it can set the code.

The Hellcat Transmissions do not have a dip stick, which I saw low fluid could pop that code on other cars too.

LMK if that helps.
