Stock Fuel Rails, why they don’t keep up

I only have race wheels but my charger is 4600 race weight and chargers are 100 lbs more then a challenger. Jon's weighed 4620 with pretty much stock everything including him. After putting skinnies on his and doing the seat delete he was around 4380

My charger was just shy of 5000lb race weight… 4950 if I recall correctly.without me in the car it was over ~4700.

Mine needs to go on a diet know doubt lol, next opportunity I get I’ll put her on a scale and get a print out this time.

Base weight is around 4500 lbs. I’m 185, that’s what it weighed with full tank of fuel and me in it on a calibrated drive on scale, 48 and change +/- 10 lbs. Unfortunately I’ve never taken weight out of the car, just added crap and it adds up. That’s with floor liners + mats + show mats in the trunk, trunk liner, car cover in the trunk, killer chiller + 1.5 gallon tank and the lines, radiator that weighs more + almost 3/4 gallon more of fluid, 20 lb DS loop, P4D Diff and race brace, laptop, this all totals probably another 120-130 lbs, 4500+185+125= 48 and change, it adds up to about match what the scale said it weighed.

Their magnetic, neodymium is heavy ya know

yeah that sounds more like Challenger weight. That didn't have the scales on today but it should have weighed about the same as 2 weeks ago 4590. Going to start a thread for today and tomorrow at the track

That would about match my car then with all the additions plus my 185 lbs to come out at 4800-4850. I’ve taken nothing out of my car and I don’t strip it when I take it too the track, she runs floor mats, the embroidered extra set of show mats and car cover in the trunk. My goal has always been a 10 second on the street M6 no burn out just launch on 20” street tires on a stock looking brass monkey rim. I’ve come .075 seconds from that goal so far and that was on 93, the power of corn has actually hurt things down low not helped. I need the hook up of then and the top end power of now to make it happen. The 3.90 rear sure hadn’t helped in the launching department but it livened up 3rd snd 4th, I just need to put those 2 worlds together now.



Streets too cold now to get anything down low now so I’ve got all winter for 1 more addition to help in the launch department.

And if that launch department addition doesn’t get me there by June 22 then I guess I’ll have to open this box for a bit more top end department assistance as the bottom end department can handle it no problemO lol

I went to the city recycling center last year I think and got a weight on my car in full street trim .
Me in the car both stock front seats , stock wheels , my trunk bag with supplies ,full tank of fuel , everything as I drive the car and ot was 4625 lbs
