Years ago in the SC GTO, I was on this 4 or 5 lane access road in west Houston, in lane 4, the one next to lane next to the businesses, etc.... This guy in an X-whatever (the top of the line M-series BMW SUV with some tuning company name stamped under the plaque) pulled onto the access road and I guess he was wanting to just blast across to lane 1 (the on ramp) and he literally stood on it. I went about 1/2 to 3/4 throttle and was keeping right beside him. I looked over and he had pulled himself up off the seat with his forearms, using his whole body weight to mash the pedal as flat as humanly possible. His face was contorted in this hideous grimace. I couldn't help but laugh. He finally got out of it when he realized he wasn't going to be able to pull ahead no matter what. He had to go on down to the next on ramp. This guy was in his mid- to late-fifties at that time.
Do it at the track, if your car is fast no one should be able to taunt you into a race. My car runs 9s in street form. No need for me to act like an idiot on the street
Exactly. I've never been taunted into any race. If I chose to do it, I chose to do it for fun, the unlikihood of seeing the opponent later at a track, and only if safety can be reasonably assured for us, and that no one else can be put at risk. If you're letting folks taunt or badger you into racing, there is a bigger problem.
