I be think people sell a lot of stuff that just isn’t necessary for the cars , like tuners that over sell saying it will make it faster when you can go fast without all the bells and whistles

I’ve seen them fail on the Ram trucks you speak of but on the hellcats I haven’t had one with the issue
Brian Carter’s car had tried to eliminate it and he ran into a converter charge issue and the car would not shift 1-2 under full throttle at the track , he went in a ghost chase trying to figure out what the issue was and finally he reinstalled it and the car went to shifting again,I believe his is a 19 model maybe the later models are different as I know earlier models from people that have removed them haven’t had that issue, me personally I’m ok with it being in the vehicle because I’ve never had an issue and the trans has broken 4 e drums but has never showed an issue with over temps

I haven't paid much attention to the trans temps at the track or the hwy so what do the temps normally get to ?... and is turning down the setting in the tune help or worth doing like @Hpindy has done ?

It's actually the fan settings I change but in the transmission part of it .

I have not played with this on a Hellcat as I don't do car transmissions. I have seen Ram trucks with bypass problems. I don't understand why it could possibly affect shifting on a Hellcat, but I will find out. Since the bypass is sealed, I just ordered one from Revmax and will install it on my kat. I'll also look into what it might affect in the trans.

OK, my fans have been turned down also, but not sure if it's been done on the trans side of tune (by my tuner) ?....my idling coolant temp hits 190* > 192* & fans are on high & it comes down to 185* with 180* t-stat.

I have the billet steel drum now and it’s done well but the drum breakage is not because of the trans it’s the driveshaft being shoved up against the flange of the transmission and causing a bind up which then breaks the drum
