Thinking it's time to put the 555R2s back on the Charger. Plenty of car meets coming up and the Turkey Rod Run is Thanksgiving weekend.
What’s the turkey rod run

50deg today, forecast is cold, rain and flurries. So washed and covered this one, at least until weather improves.

Last night during my usual can't sleep time I realized I put the car away right after washing thinking the pads would stick. Jacked it up today and spun the fronts, very light stick, no prob. Then I learned the only way to put the car in N without starting is to pull the N lever! I just rotated the rears about 10deg back and forth, not stuck at all. Sometimes I hate new cars!

I peeled some of the tread off on a couple of the eight drive tires on my Pete after it had been sitting for a while in humid SoCal. Plenty of torque to overcome the stuck brake shoes, apparently.

Can't really not set the parking brake on those things. Either do it when stopping, or they'll set themselves once the air pressure in the system drops enough. Anyway, it's not just new cars.

Disconnected the big battery charger before leaving it for a while, since I don’t trust a little trickle charger until I jerk the DS controller “off-line” for the season.

Made it harder to drive away:unsure: Got the weight off the corners to let the suspension rest. Hit it with the battery charger and brought it up. Let it sit for a couple of more weeks. Repeat.

Okay, so it's not a Hellcat, and it was yesterday.

Took the "little Challenger" for a test drive in snow. First something in the rear was leaving tracks, then the entire undercarriage, but it kept going...on OE summer performance tires.

I'm impressed. As the splitter shows, it was about eight inches deep at one point. DSCN5120[1].JPG

No, I wish.

Stayed at the homestead since I could hear that the road was wet (and probably salted). They tend to do our road somewhat late, understandably prioritizing the main roads. Next time we get a decent snowfall I'll definitely be out there going as sideways as possible.

Is That the GT AWD? How did it handle?

That it is.

Don't know about this one yet (not broken in) but the '21 I had took the curves better than the 'Cat, I think.
Being less nose heavy probably helps, but it could also be that I would feel a lot less bad about wrapping the GT AWD around a tree, or tumbling down a 300-foot slope, and drove it accordingly.

Yesterday the wife wanted to stop by an estate sale, she put the address in her iphone and said it's 17min away. It was a warm sunny day so we hopped into the HC, I plugged in my phone and it said 14min. She said why is that??? I said, it's a HC. ;)

Not all done today but am finishing up the blower lid removal for new powder coating from a local shop as well as polishing the bolt heads before reinstallation, and change of bushings from the garbage ones put in by a paid shop that lasted only 6 months before making noise again.

New ones from Jon Bond finally got installed, not without some gnashing of teeth but am looking forward to hearing it again soon.

Lots learned from this whole effort.

Great to see the progress!

I HATE learning, because it usually is closely associated with cost, pain, and/or failure... :( Please keep us updated. We all hope for the best! :)

Meanwhile, I love learning, and the more the better.

But today, instead of learning something I just changed the oil and filter - a most mundane and uneducational task.
Oh well, now it's good to go for another year or two. DSCN5132[1].JPG
