What engine / ignition?

Adaptive like ours?
I believe it was a small block n/a. Apples to apples no but shouldn't matter. There are lots of "theories" out there with no proof. Engine masters tests to prove if these are true are false. More and more they are finding these theories are not true

Another was tubing after headers. If you go to the track and drop the exhaust like so many did back in the day you loose torque. They found better to have a long tube then nothing, it really didn't matter how long. I think most of the restrictions in a full exhaust is muffler based. They found the summit turbo muffler killed a bunch of hp on a turbo engine

Trying out the Milodon 180 tstat, seems to initially open around 170 so I’m sure I will end up throwing a code after a few more trips. Dont know how much I care anymore, prefer to run up to and around 200 degrees versus 206-219 all the time so I may just live with the code. Interesting design, looks like a quality piece! And then here’s a few photos from a recent local event. 41k miles and loving the car more all the time! I did kill that 2014 modified M5 btw ;) IMG_6283.png IMG_6287.png IMG_6301.png IMG_6302.png IMG_6303.png IMG_6283.png IMG_6287.png IMG_6301.png IMG_6302.png IMG_6303.png

I understand.

It has to be nicer to enjoy the shade in the park and feed the alligators.

Eric, I think the one in my car is a cheap moto whatever that I had on shelf! You may have sent it to me. She was hanging at 188 tonight I was watching it. I had to gas it up. Going to be a low of 56 Sunday night and about 80 Monday up in Baxter. Looks like the weather gods are smiling on me.

Hope the forecast pans out and your track days are perfect! Crazy to think about how old that tstat could be, probably 10 years! Thing is I used to get one and swap it in and out for years and never had a problem, past few years though this one has always broke now! This is the one I have been buying forever:

https://www.amazon.com/Jet-Performance-10183-JET-Thermostat/dp/B001CHG19O/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=34YRZ8ED45MWJ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.BTvLuQ6BwAlQ9y4haJiGOv6qOx9pH7sowCBbabIf9Y3Mh7mYgFW-EQhSYXQkrWIolqO5lYWOn8tZtKBgMaKIDN16EyMX-_7WeOcKM0BDb-tZR1sIJFtd7tUcbRSQJISH803W0HWHFXk7-HzWnTnZ-6XM8aicpyRQKMFHgjGTVAamew663lvEG1x0pUAaO6V0.VrpQl0RoY8vYCwIs8skP6ezneo6S5dO7BVSiUlajm1g&dib_tag=se&keywords=jet+10183&qid=1718848894&sprefix=jet+10183,aps,142&sr=8-1

it just runs and also initially opens in the perfect temperature range. Can’t trust it now though.

Jet 10183 and back in the day Motorad 4128 and Motorad 4127 were always the good ones.
