Essentially the same with my PW and HC too.

Funny I have a remote start on my ram...I never use it...even on the coldest of days..

Only not for the reason most would suspect...I never take the key fob outta my truck...(and I never lock it...)...in the morning I have to make sure I take my flip phone...my wallet..my cigar lighter...my key ring...I'm not adding the key fob to the list...

You guys could just drive your Hellcat almost every day, problem solved!

Today I'm getting an oil change as I come up on 48k miles in 5 years and 6 months, it will be the car's 15th oil change. I did put in magnetic plugs on the oil pan and cooler last time from @16GoManGoHC2 - will be interesting to see what they look like!

Ok quick update just fwiw, my magnetic drain plugs caught hardly a sliver, but there were a couple few. 48003 miles on it exactly, still running great and doesn’t feel like it’s lost a step at all, if anything it feels as strong as ever

At that mileage it should pretty much be broken in already, and not much left for the magnets to catch. In the first 500 miles they tend to catch plenty.

Of course, when/if you start seeing metal debris on them at some point in the future, it is not good.

My DD...Ram1500...summer weather..(above 59 degrees)...get in and go...winter (30 and below)...warm up a min or 2..and go...I get a new one every 3 years so not that big of a concern...I'm on my 8th P/U...no issues to date...my cats...warmup a couple of min..then easy on the throttle till 175 degrees....I assume it works..

I have to wonder how many of the "no warm-up" believers never get anywhere near 100kmi because they trade in every 3-5.

BTW: It is very possible that a mfr will not recommend a warm-up because it will consume fuel and potentially lower the EPA rating. Besides, if you trash your engine outside of warranty, they have a chance to sell you a new car! Better yet, the low income 2nd owner gets screwed and has to come back to buy another used car!

It is possible. But is it likely that a European car manufacturer had the foresight to include that sound advice in the Sixties?

Besides, since when is warm-up included in the EPA ratings? I thought that was based on city and highway driving, not falling asleep at the wheel and forgetting to leave the driveway.
