I thought Tim K mentioned the Hellephant would return.

So seeing it in catalogs isn't misleading. Hopefully, they just keep building them.
This is how the Hellcat lives on past 2024.

If Ford actually comes out with a Raptor R, and if it has more power than the TRX, I can see Ram doing a one year run with the Redeye.

Ford can't get their head out of their ass on regular models.

I doubt any non Ford loyalist is getting one of those trucks and i'd bet 150k minimum with markups.
Maybe Ram does similar with the TRX, idk. The current TRX is pretty bonkers as it is.

Has anyone actually been able to purchase one of these DC Hellephants? The 100 limit initially drove prices pretty high as people snatched them up to put them away in bubble wrap.

Right, saw you referenced that deeper in the thread. I think he was being secretive about the price he paid for it after getting it bc he wasn't sure if he was going to use it or flip it at the time.

I have the mechanical skills and capability, but I do not have the specific "engine build" experience such as what @16GoManGoHC2 shared during his build.

There is a definite tribal knowledge in really building a solid engine that doesn't either have excessive blow-by, or runs too tight, or eats its own bearings...

If I remember correctly there was a $75k asking price on the Hellephant but that's from memory so don't quote me.

And the aluminum blocks have a not so great history so there's that.

Just long block? 6-7k maybe, never added it up, custom pistons and their wrist pins where the biggest expense at 2500. Buy a RE long block for 8500 and just put a lightweight Manley I beam on the stock pistons, open up the ring gap a bit and give her hell. That’s what I’d do if I could do it all over again. Ship the motor and rods to me and I’ll do the swap for you cheap, I’d enjoy it. Run it on the same bearings if came apart with. Stud the mains and heads maybe if you really want to lean on it and I’m sure it’d take 1000-1100 wheel on corn with a 10% OD lower and 2.72 upper on a 2.4 blower for years. You’d spend 12k maybe

Lets blow this completely out of the water.
Open the DC catalog and screw together a complete roller with a VIN.
Drop the Hellephant/ t-400 into the engine bay.
No radio/heater, manual steering/brakes.
DOT tires.
3450 lbs.
We don't need air bags or inner crash bumpers either.
