Limited to 300 units. Good luck buying one! No matter how well off you are financially you can bet your ass these are already gone. Nice car but not within reach of the people who have been the ones who have been the hemi supporters for the last sixty. Such is life. I'll drive the shit out of my Hellcat on route 93 and route 66 and the Dragon's Tail and everywhere else in the country. Piss on Stellantis and Tim Kuniskis and all the other pussies at Dodge who let this happen.
Im curious to how many Jailbreaks they actually sold.
I think the Hellcat has lost a lot of steam. GM can't build enough Corvettes selling in the same price range. But Dodge, that RE availability was never 0 this year. Plenty of dealers could get you one. Until March, you could order a SS or RE or widebody cat just fine.
Dealers are not helping things for Dodge and there is nothing they can do about it but go online and let people reserve the car.
The 300C gives us an idea of what Dodge might do with these cars. The 300C was online reserve and it sold out in 12 hours.
GMC did similar with their Hummer EV1. If Dodge holds dealers to MSRP, I like this setup. No calling dealers, no markups, no bull shit.
I simply fill out info, enter a credit card number for a deposit, and will be notified when the car will be built.
I guess they should give people a chance to change dealers before the car is delivered. Let buyers secure an agreement on price. If a dealer doesn't play ball, simply move the reserve to a dealer that wants a sale.
Dodge can send the dealer a Hornet in its place for their troubles.
