I’ll never buy another dodge product again, new or used. This dealership has left a bad taste. I never want to deal with their service departments ever again. Who do we escalate things to for a dealer not acting in good faith?

It doesn't matter what brand, the majority of dealers suck these days. They don't have any techs who knows how to fix these high tech cars. The pay and working conditions suck.

This is why I'm reverting back to older cars. Something that can be easily worked on with lower cost parts.

I have to say that 1 local Dodge dealer has a good service department. But I haven't bought a car from them for about 20 years. Their deals always suck.

You are lucky, you can find older cars that still have most of the steel on!

Will continue to watch Durango Hellcats for this, even though it doesn't seem like a good time to buy an expensive vehicle. Economic indicators are not looking too friendly right now and I would have to finance it, but to me that is good debt I would pay $65-70k for one all day long.

A fully loaded r/t goes for 60k + lol. I don’t see them dropping. More so the ram 1500s and EVs

Transit Towne isn’t one of them. Their Transit/Elma location was the one that beat the crap out of my car on their joyride and never performed the service I dropped it off for.

Meanwhile, the owner of the good dealership I use called and asked permission to put seven miles on my new '23 Durango, assuring me he'd do it personally. Some new rule says they have to.

He knows how I feel about gear break-in and such, so of course I gave him permission. Which was easier than driving 450 miles to do it myself.

Full disclosure: No, I've never had anything serviced there, only bought vehicles, but if I ever end up having to take a vehicle to a dealer, that's where it'll go. And for that to happen, it'll be on a trailer with some kind of catastrophic failure.
