That’s hilarious 😂
Agree, at first I thought it was a junkie shooting up, ya know like when you go to Home Depot and get mobbed by illegals sitting in the shade wanting to install what ever you just got done loading in your truck, then I looked closer saw it was a different kind of junkie, a tuner type junkie 😂

leakdown and borescope looks fantastic - she's ready for the Big W! Have to say, a well-sized and tuned corn fuel system is quite impressive.

Speaking of fuel system, new fuel pumps arrived today.

Along with a 3.00 pulley a buddy of mine sent me and that bracket from Nitrous Outlet for the insulator spacers. On Sunday!!

And 16 new plugs too!! :)

With any luck should be running by next weekend. I plan on insulating the coolant lines right to the inlets on the blower, rather not cosmetic wise but they need to be for maximum cooling.

Wouldn’t maximum cooling require an ice box 😉

Chiller gets the water to 28 F sometimes, unless your putting dry ice in that box your not going to get the coolant that cold with ice alone :)
But I agree one would help but hoping the double pass intercooler in the Whipple is happy with 40F coolant as the chiller makes that most all the time. But before I went through the hassle of an ice box I’d add a second chiller block in parallel with the first. Mines a street car predominantly remember.

Are you clocking your plugs still? Wondering if the borescope could be used there if if you’re just marking on the plug where the electrode is.

Yes, I clock the plugs towards the intake valve or center of cylinder on everything I put plugs in, The more high-performance the application the more picky I become that they’re facing where I want them. But yes I just mark the socket and the extension with black market to match the electrode position, That works easy enough.

I'm gonna ping you when I get ready to swap blowers. I need those pointers you've picked up on fluid management. I don't have an engine hoist so me and Crew Chief Greg will have to wrestle the blower off the car by hand.

If I had to lift it off by hand with 2 people for the sake of protecting my car I’d sling it just like I did but instead of attaching to the engine hoist if you don’t have one substitute a 2x4x8ft for the hoist hook and lift it that way one guy on each end up and out, easy peasy. To try and lean over the car from each side and lift and walk it out the front is asking for disaster even if it’s just a elbow dent in a fender that’s too much!!!

@vortecd pulled his off using the 2 person method once. Without issue. That was before we met so I wasn't a part of it.

did you custom make the lift cable lengths, or are they some kind of standard bicycle lock type?

Being serious, they are just over 100lbs.

The trick for me was to lift up the front enough to get some short sections of 3/4" hardwood pieces underneath the front of blower and raise it up, then I could rock the rear up and get more sections of hardwood under the rear.

That got it up above the pins.

Then I was able to slide it forward on 2*4s.

Like so...

20190616_201619.jpg

Then it wasn't so far away and I was able to lift it, pivot around, and immediately set it down on a table behind me.
