I'm not sure what kinda shape this is in. The price was right so I snagged it thinking I could use parts of it if the blower itself is too far gone for some reason. I was told it was a Hellcat blower but when I went to pick it up it had the Redeye logo on the lid so I assume it's a Redeye blower. History is unknown. Once I saw the Redeye logo I wondered if I could send it out to Jon Bond or Jokerz for a rebuild and have a 2.7L upgrade for GoMango.

It's 100% with all sensors, fuel rails, injectors, throttle body, bypass, etc.

I pulled the lid to take a look and saw some marks just behind the blow off valve. Nothing major but something happened I guess. Rotors look "ok" but have some coating removed and one of them is a tad rough on the edge. I could see no evidence the snout had ever been off based on the bolt heads.

Is this worth sending out or is it toast? Rotating blower pulley everything is smooth both directions. There might be 1(ish)mm of play rocking the blower pulley back and forth.

Was going to reply, but I see you're looking for opinions from specific people. Good luck!

Not necessary just those folks, but they're ones I know have experience with these. I would have just emailed them if that were the case ;)

The one I picked up from Hellno looks a bit worse than that on the rotor wear.

Because of that I've not done anything with it, yet...

It will be interesting to see what other people think of the wear.

Wow, I just picked up a regular HC 2.4 blower as complete as it gets, all the sensors, injectors, rails...looks to be in about the same shape as the RE 2.7 you have here. It was also too good a deal to pass on, curious what you find out on yours.

Once I figure this out then I gotta figure out if a Redeye blower is plug and play on a 2016 Hellcat

What about sending detailed pics to the 2 places you mentioned and ask if they believe it can be rebuilt or if there appears to be too much damage ?

Since we’re talking about it, what would you all consider a good price on a new 2.4L blower?

I know if one for sale but it’s from a individual. In the box still but, if it doesn’t work, there’s no returning it or warranty which holds me up from buying it and putting it in the shelf.

That's my plan but I figured someone here would know. I'm sure they won't give a solid answer though and want me to send it in for an "inspection".

I have a spare 2.4L blower as well that I also got for a song. You never know if there are bearing issues, etc so I always price them assuming it'll need a full rebuild and think of worst case scenario if the blower is beyond repair for some reason. I tally up the usable parts like throttle body, bypass, injectors, fuel rails, sensors, snout, etc and let that drive my price vs risk decision.

In my case these were extremely good deals so it was a no brainer.

According to the "other" site, it's a direct bolt on for a 2016.

I just confirmed it with my parts guru. Redeye blower is a drop in replacement on my 2016. He said to just swap my sensors over. I'll take a look this weekend to see if the sensors all look the same, etc.

I was thinking this Redeye blower worked over by Jokerz and a 2.85 Litens pulley would be a nice upgrade.

Great score . I would absolutely send it to @16GoManGoHC2 as my first option for a check over ( jokerz second). It is a straight bolt on with minor tuning revisions as you will be using your current injectors . Keep the 3 bar map sensor and copy the RedEye data to your tune . Plunk a 2.85 pulley on it and make 18 psi . No problem for pump gas if tuned right. You have the injectors and fuel system to handle it . I prefer the 2.7L as it spins slower to move the same air volume but with less heat. .

Sorry, just seeing this, didn’t get a notification from this post, just got one from Hpindy’s.
From seeing the scuffed coating on the rotors it’s either out of time a hair or really worn bearings letting the rotors touch or it just got real hot once or so causing the rotors to touch. Either way it should be checked out to find out why.
