When I first bought it I took it for:

Paint correction....

PPF across the front of the mower deck....then...

Ceramic coating on all the painted surfaces

I don't use it in the rain

Use a foam cannon to wash it

and....

it's garage kept

:p
But what does it do in the quarter?

Today i mowed with a JD1025, flew an Airbus H145, drove a John Deere 648 skidder, rode a Tennessee Walker, and hauled feed around on the wifes Honda Rancher. It was a good day, and feel that was plenty of stuff to ride, drive, and fly.
Can I come fly with you???

I have my own headset :p

Oh, you're THAT neighbor! Probably have a junkyard of vehicles that you're "working on" sitting in your front yard too! :p

It was time for my buddyā€™s annual. He thought I may enjoy tearing into his plan for a Saturday. Now, Iā€™m too heavy to fly with him, but I enjoy watching him fly it from the ground. Haha. His neighbor has a larger plane with more capacity, we will get the family up in the air this summer. Childā€™s play for you real pilots, but the simplicity of these things is pretty cool. FWIW - this was the model used for the Cessna sales brochure in 1982.

I flew most of my day, got home in time to see the wife unloading the last of a semi truck load of hay, skids of pellets, and barrels of grains. The wife was just finishing up, while I was doing my log books. She comes to me and says " Truck driver says that he doesn't have enough room to turn around, or the skills to back out of the yard, can you do it"? So I said to him go walk up to the road and stop any traffic, I'll back it out for you. Once sitting on the road he asked me how I did it. WTF you're a trucker and just asked me how I can back up a truck???!!! He was on his way, I called the number on the trucks door, and said that their driver can't even back up, when he gets back, they should go out, teach and test him, before sending him to the next customer.
I'm stunned to say the least!

182 can lift a lot for a small plane, I'm sure that you would be fine to go for a ride in it. I only have about 60 hours in a 182, but i took 4 people and bags easily.

Just got caught up on 7 pagesā€¦ nice rides.
@Whatknot - I worked on a farm for almost 20 years, and we had about 20 clydes, 5 Belgians, and a couple quarter horses. They were all great. Reading your stories reminds me of working them in the fields and on the road. We ran a carriage company, so I was driving horses for weddings, and events, all over the place. My horse, Mark, was a monster like yours, one of the biggest in the state at 19 hands and 2200lbs.
Since this thread started I sold my Ford dually, 42ā€™ toy hauler, and gave up the Hellcatā€¦ and now I drive a beater on occasion to Home Depot and back.
I usually have many many pictures of my vehicles, but this one is just a mode of transportation for me. It has the TT 3.5 Eco and I put a 5 Star tune on it. Raced a 392 Durango the other day and he dragged my ass.

Also, been riding my Cub Cadet lawn tractor since 1999ā€¦ mowing in the summer and snow blowing in the winter. That one is on the left side of the random speaker picā€¦ she is in snow mode there.

And then just for shits, an old pic of my TT225 dirt bike, MAX 6x6, and 1984 Trans Am.
No wonder your such a hard worker...you were a farm boy....funny..when we are hiring whse, help..or drivers..when I see farm work on a resume ...he goes to the top of the list...never been disappointed .(y).

Sounds like the Vipers same problem. I have wanted a Viper for the past 25 years and yeh never picked one up. Came close in 2005 picking a convertible up and the dealership no lie let me take for the afternoon. And about an hour in I am like get me out of this thingšŸ˜³. Than back in 2016 I came close to picking up a hard top GTS and damn that car was just bad ass looking. The dealer had three with different colors and I liked the Green one. Took her down the road and just the same damn thing its just to much a race car and sure I get that but I have owned many Corvettes and they are just so much more practical. So yep no Vipers and wish I could have gotten more excited but I drive 150-200 miles every Time I jump n a vehicle. And the Vipers would jut not work out for me unfortunately. Hereā€˜s some pics of some of my Vettes.

Iā€™m enjoying life and all of the food and alcohol in front of me at 263lbsā€¦ if I get below 250 he can still fit a full tank of gas. He is probably 180 soaking wet.
It's a 1981 Cessna 152 with a Lycoming O-235-L2C engineā€¦ so the capacity on it may be different than the 182s you guys are used to.

And I appreciate that @1971demon - I agree. Farmers to the front of the line. We solve problems, canā€™t afford to waste time, and you have to figure out how to work with people (and animals) or you wonā€™t survive. Lots of life skills can come from the handle of a shovel or a broom. A lot of people donā€™t understand that.

Oh yes, much different than a 182.

152 doesn't lift much.

Maybe if some of these jackholes in Chicago picked up a shovel or broom and did a little work theyā€™d have less time to go out shooting people. Thereā€™s a lot to be said for learning the value of hard work.
