Been wanting to get a group buy together
Sorry I couldn’t wait and participate, but I see Lethal Performance lists them for 6295, I’ll be calling them this am to see what their delivery is like just out of curiosity.

I put one in cart and shipping is free but they are charging for tax. They have the stage 2 for $6900 but is $7300 after tax

Figures they get you one way or the other :(
They list them as having them in stock or what’s the delivery on them?

Not sure on how long to get it. It is green so I'm thinking they have it. On the stage 1 with tax comes out 6672

My blower is not giving me any troubles or noises at all, it’s making great boost and sounds mean as hell when eating, only issue I’m having is with the clutched Litens pulleys, their clutch’s aren’t holding up, maybe McLeod makes a better one lol.
My Temps are about 10-20* higher than normal too. In fact that was my first clue. Pump is good, no airlock, the icebox is full, coolant can be seen circulating.

I guess I was due but still sucks. Maybe when it gets warm stuff is just a wee out of tolerance now?

Could always send it back to jokerz for a brush-up, runner work and billet plate (has ported one now).

That and a chiller should have me very dangerously close to 4 digits.

And a GREAT full color set of instructions with pictures of every step from taking your original blower off until the last bolt is installed and tightened on the new one, including Tq specs and diagram of sequence on the new one going on. Looks easy peasy everything included except for belt length suggestions needed for a non stock lower or upper pulleys. Hopefully that doesn’t delay start up I have a few different size belts on hand.

Well this past week my closest car buddy bugged me all week about going to the track on Friday night, he just converted his stang over to corn and was dying to see what it would run so I told him I’d go, most likely with my Capri. But after hearing from a few guys with the 3.0 Whipples that they are quiet and don’t make much whine I decided on Thursday I wanted to hear the cat whine 1 more time and get a video of her screaming down the track for comparison to the Whipple in the future so being I had yet another 2.72 on hand (used but looked like new) Thursday night I changed pulleys one last time to go to the track with my buddy and hear her scream one last hurrah. Put 1mm of shim behind this one to get a just under 2mm gap.

So Friday left work early got home and just loaded the essentials, laptop, chair, 2 helmets, smaller cooler with beverages, fuel tester, air pump and go, didn’t take the 17” tires and everything needed to change them, too much of a hassle especially in the blazing 92F sun, and I wanted to see what it would run in Street form with the 20” 305 555R2’s. Got to the track, paid my entry fee and got right in the lanes as things where just starting as we got there, only issue was record breaking heat yesterday, was 92F and humid, If it were not for my buddies enthusiasm to go I would not even have gone in 3300+ DA. So first pass after 54 mile drive there, even though chiller temp was 35 F and inlet below ambient when I got there blower heat soaked sitting for tech so my first pass I started with 50F coolant but 105 inlet temps in 3300 DA. Drove around the water, no burnout, ran against my stang buddy, tires hot showed 31 psi on the HMI ugh, do I did a soft launch to see it they’d hook and they did so rolled into it harder and hit second it hopped once and stuck, nailed third, forth, but seemed to be slow up top Hmmm. Ran a 11.10 at 135 with a shitty 2.0 60 ft but a decent 1/8 at 7.4 109 which should have netted 140 in the traps so back to the lanes to look at the log. Was Down 3 lbs of boost top of third and all of 4th WTF, so popped the hood and looked at the pulley first off to only find it face cover missing and grease all over FU(K my night was over :(.

So got the chair and cooler out, got some fries and chicken tenders and had to have fun a different way lol.

SUCKED though watching the air sock show a tail wind and it was cooling off, DA dropped to 2200 and 73F Damn now was the time to be running :(

At least the car made it the 54 mile journey home, everything seemed normal on the drive home all be it I stayed out of boost. And I got to watch a modded new GT500 with Beadlocks and slicks run a best of 10.88 at 121, a highly modded Camaro ZL1 run 11.2 at 133, a Redeye run 11.5 at 134, was great to feel I could’ve stood up well to these auto magic cars if was able to get some more runs in I know she would have been in the mid 10’s at 140 if that damn pulley wouldn’t have shut me down, O well, better air is coming!! Next time taking the 17” sticky’s no doubt, 2.0 60 ft SUCKS!!

So what’s next? WHIPPLE TIME baby LOL. I Could probably get the swap done in probably 3-4 hours but I take my time on everything. Planning on changing plugs while the coolant lines are out of the way, borescope and do a leak down test of all cylinders, and install new 2309 plugs with a smaller gap, maybe down to .022 from .028 then put the Whipple on so stay tuned for updates!!
Today the wife has me going on a hike with the other grand parents then visiting a winery and out of the way little restaurant in a small backwoods town afterwards with GREAT food. Probably start on taking the 2.4 off Sunday AM, Supposed to get hot here again for the next week so good time for some work indoors in the air conditioned sardine can, I don’t even know where I’m going to hide these boxes with the Whipple in it from the wife until it’s on lol, there’s no room!! It’s Still in the back of my 4Runner 😂

Sorry to hear of your troubles @16GoManGoHC2 but can’t wait to hear how the Whipple performs. Good luck with the project. 🤐
