I went with the Tapp stage 1.5 that has the 295 pumps. Nice upgrade

Fuel pumps changed, I took a bunch of pictures to make a step by step on how to do it, not hard, done in less than an hour.

Unfortunately the longest belt I have on hand is about 3/4 of an inch too short :-( if I wouldn’t have used the insulator spacers it probably would’ve fit. I was looking to see if I could find one at any auto parts store but I highly doubt it unfortunately. And I’m getting called into work to double unfortunately lol but at least some of the auto parts stores I would hunt down are on that way lol so I’m not too pissed off about it is what it is that’s what helps pay for the toys even though unfortunately I’ll be a negative triple overtime today lol

I have to do something with these coolant hoses upfront, I hate the way they look atm, I’ll probably put some AN 90s on them and neaten up the ends

Well I couldn’t find the right size belt so I found a seven rib belt that worked that let me start it up and take it out. Got to block from the house throttlebody error :( reset it relearn the throttlebody, throttlebody error again came home change some wiring around that I didn’t like from the Whipple harness, direct wired to sensors direct not through the Whipple pigtails that didn’t like not knowing where the wires were going or not again same thing. Came home change the throttlebody to the BBK went out same thing throttle body error, came home texted my buddy @jonx96 I don’t know what it was doing but he sent me a tune revision without even looking at a log in about 10 minutes and no more throttlebody error :). Tge tune probably still need some brushed up I didn’t give it too much of a hit beyond a bit in third, I saw 28 pounds of boost which is going to be way too much so review these stones and go from here but at least we’ve got some initial stuff to start working with. Hats off 🎩 to @jonx96, If that was a big name tuner I would be waiting a week or more. I recommend his tuning services to anyone versus going with one of the big guys. 👍👍 THANK YOU JON!!

That whipple pallet thread he said his made 18 lbs on the 3.75. I thought that was high but I guess you found it to be true by what you made on the 3.00. You made a comment. I guess based on what he said I would have started with the 3.75

Was going to but could not find a belt that would match it so I used the 3.00. I can’t believe 28 psi though on a stock lower??

I don’t know yet if it really made 28 psi, PR (pressure ratio) was tops 2.22, I’ve seen 2.55 on my other blower. But the Whipple had the bypass partially open, its tune needs some tweaking I think. To early to tell yet, drive maybe 4 miles, actually only to the grocery store and back believe it or not lol.

Going to order a few belts tomorrow.

What happened to making 18psi 😂
You’ll prolly need another table adjusted for that much boost.

OK, here’s the results, first 3-4 hit tonight, gained about 1/2 second in the 60-130 running from prior runs last 2-3 weeks. My PB in about 0 DA 45F air was around a 5.78

But this is it for the fuel system and injectors even with upgrading the pumps to the 295’s, it’s done pump and injector wise.

Perfect pick of pulley size, 3.00, netting a solid 22 psi accross the rpm band with a peak of 22.6 psi, PR in the 2.65 range. No doubt she’s over 1000 wheel now, dyno shop guy is on vacation, will hit him up in the near future. I see 10 second street 1/4’s on the horizon :)

Nice initial improvement! So, 3-pumps (285?, 295?) and which injectors are next?

No, just dual 295’s, may hang a third 285 (because it has a check valve) on a boost controlled switch that comes on only during high boost. Present Injectors are ID1300’s.

I thought you said the 3.0 pulley made 28 lbs?

I thought you said the 3.0 pulley made 28 lbs?
But remember I said I’d have to review that? That was at a quick glance at the laptop screen and was 28 psi of manifold pressure, minus 14 for atmosphere it was only 14 really. 22.5-23 is the real number after reviewing last nights log with a belt that wasn’t slipping

Before, the blue line is boost, see it fall off

E80B8BFF-E853-4ADA-BF1F-97C7C99F291C.png

Last night, see boost hold steady?
1A6415B3-2CF2-41EA-BE5A-BCE96B6A0E2F.jpeg
See the 37 lbs of manifold absolute pressure? Subtract 14.2 baro and boost is about 22.8 psi, MAP shows it at 22.6.

The guy posting pressure numbers with the pulley sizes listed being driven by a stock size lower must be mistaken in what he’s interpreting as boost numbers, he may be looking at manifold pressure and not subtracting baro if I had to guess.

I'm surprised you have not upgraded those heavy steel idlers pulleys that down spin very well:unsure:

I bought all 3 from TBA
